About me
I drive the education of young learners through creating unique and enlightening curriculum materials including hands-on, 1:1 interactions, small group and whole group activities. l lead as a mentor to new teachers and through curriculum, lesson and technology collaboration with colleagues. I was one of the early-embracers of Google Classroom and providing 24/7/365 support and access to resources for students which made the transition to Canvas a teensy-weensy bit easier (we all built the boat while in the middle of the ocean). I provide almost everything in Canvas via audio and video for review, for absent students, and for parent/guardian/administrative observers. Our in-class activities blend old- and new-school methods and styles. Students get up, move around, interact and also have independent work time. My success stems from collaboration with education professionals around the world, forming relationships with students, and being willing to "Take chances, make mistakes, and get messy!” (Ms. Frizzle).
