About me
I have been in education for 26 years. I have worked as a Classroom Teacher (3rd, 1st and K), Interventionist and Reading Specialist all right here in Newport News Public Schools. Before coming to NNPS I spent 5 years in Chesterfield County Public Schools as a 3rd Grade and Kindergarten Teacher. I received my B.S. in Interdisciplinary Studies with a concentration in Elementary Education from Radford University and my M.A. in Reading from Old Dominion University. I currently work as a Reading Specialist at Sedgefield Elementary.
