All behavior is communication. When a student has a pattern of negative behaviors that are not responding to tier one or tier two level of instruction and intervention, it may be time of consideration to determine what that behavior is communicating and its function. This allows for development of behavior intervention plan focused on the "why" of the behavior. This session will be an overview of Functional Behavior Assessments and Behavior Intervention Plans. Participants will learn the theory and purpose, as well as dive into a case study, learn NNPS procedures, and work through the documentation.
This session is intended for Administrators, Special Educators, 504 case managers, School Psychologists, School Social Workers, and School Counselors.
This session is schedule from 9:45-12:00, covering both the first and second sessions of the day.
This session will focus on way we monitor how we support students through the tiered instruction. We have upgraded and now will house intervention plans in MTSS in Synergy. It is more streamlined to focus on developing intervention plans and progress monitoring at all tier 2 and tier 3 levels through the new MTSS in Synergy. This will show how to enter information into Synergy and how intervention plans will be entered and monitored. Also, will highlight how this new system will elevate our documentation and ease of use for all.
This session will be valuable for Administrators, Student Success Team Members, Teachers, and Counselors.
