This session is designed for both new and returning elementary STEM Lead Teachers. Participants will explore the “what” and “why” behind STEM programming in Newport News Public Schools and the important role STEM Leads play in supporting innovation, engagement, and student success. Topics will include the Virginia STEM Ecosystem and the leadership role of NNPS within Region 2, community STEM partnerships, NNPS STEM signature experiences, and opportunities connected to competitive robotics and engineering design challenges. Participants will also review expectations, available resources, collaboration opportunities, and practical strategies for strengthening STEM culture at their schools. Please bring a laptop or device to access digital materials during the session.

This session is intended for Elementary STEM Lead Teachers.
